Joinery
 | The competition projects will consist of practical work only, related knowledge will be limited to that required to carry out the practical work. Competitors will be assessed on their ability to interpret drawings, written instructions and setting out. They will prepare the timber using hand tools and machines such as router, morticer, band saw, orbital sander and hand drill. The end product will be a finished joinery component such as a door, window, stairs or gate. The most important aspects are knowledge of machine and hand processes, dimensional accuracy, finish and appearance. |
